There are more lions in this area than humans. In fact, there is just one voter - Mahant Bharatdas Bapu, who stays approx 70km inside the Gir Sanctuary. Election Commission officials set up a polling booth just for him. The polling booth is part of the Somnath district and comes under the Junagadh constituency. "Government spent a lot in setting up the polling booth. People should come out and vote in large numbers. I never miss out a chance to exercise my vote. The election team especially came here for me and it shows that every vote matters. I am happy to tell you that this booth has a distinction of registering 100 per cent voter percentage," Bapu said while speaking to ANI. BCCL Photo

Conjoined twins Farah and Saba cast their votes separately in Patna in the last phase of the Lok Sabha elections. This is not the first time they have voted. They were first-time voters in October 2015 during the Bihar Assembly Elections. But the election commission counted them as a 'single voter'. This is the first time their votes have been counted separately. Photo by KM Sharma/ BCCL

At 15,256 feet, this is the world's highest polling station. Tashigang is in Himachal Pradesh and recorded a voter turnout of 142.85 per cent! And believe it or not, all the votes were held valid. It's natural to wonder how that is even possible. Out of the 49 registered voters of Tashigang, a total of 36 villagers cast their vote. The jump over the 100 per cent mark was contributed by many poll officials, who were deployed to Tashigang and neighbouring areas, who were determined to vote at this polling station. PTI Photo
